Linda M. Reilly, MD Honored with 2019 Nina Starr Braunwald Award and 2019 UCSF Health Exceptional Physician Award
Linda M. Reilly, M.D., Professor of Vascular Surgery, and Program Director of the UCSF General Surgery Residency Program, has been named the recent recipient of two prestigious awards: the 2019 Nina Starr Braunwald Award from the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS), and the 2019 UCSF Health Exceptional Physician Award.
The Nina Starr Braunwald Award is given by the AWS annually in recognition of outstanding lifetime contributions to the advancement of women in surgery. Dr. Reilly was nominated for this award by members of the UCSF Muriel Steele Society. The award will be presented to Dr. Reilly on October 28, 2019 at the AWS Foundation Awards Dinner.
In addition, Dr. Reilly was selected as one of nine physicians to be awarded the 2019 UCSF Health Exceptional Physician Award. Over 60 physicians were nominated based on their demonstration of UCSF core PRIDE values—Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Excellence. Dr. Reilly’s commitment to these values have been demonstrated time and again over the course of her 34-year career at UCSF, earning the respect of her colleagues, patients, trainees, and staff alike.
